Investment Team (Associate/VP Level)
Location: New York (Hybrid)
About Us: Our client is a $750mm family office headquartered in NYC with offices in London and Singapore.
• They invest globally across the capital structure in public and private opportunities, targeting both control and minority investments.
• Their investment strategy includes investing with external managers, including seeding/launching new external fund managers.
• Investments range from under $1mm to over $50mm. For larger ventures, they have the capability to involve additional partners.
• The firm is characterized by a collaborative culture and operates on a flat organizational structure. They have a hybrid work culture.
Job Description: Our client is seeking to expand their investment team with individuals able to source, underwrite, recommend, and manage investment opportunities and strategies. As generalists with a wide mandate, a broad curiosity is recommended, and the ability to quickly take in and synthesize novel information is critical. While much of the work is collaborative, every investment team member will be expected to build their own networks, hone their own expertise, and ultimately create their own pipeline of opportunities. Strong independent initiative is essential.
Professional Qualifications:
• At least 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in private credit and public equities.
• Advanced understanding and familiarity with financial modeling, accounting, and valuation.
Nice to Haves:
• Advanced understanding and familiarity with legal and tax structuring.
• Operational experience running a business.
• Applied sciences background (math, computer science, LLMs).
Compensation: Competitive salary and long-term bonuses based on the P&L of the firm in excess of passive benchmarks.
